Tactical Carbine Applications 2 is designed to build on the competencies and skills gained in the level 1 class. It will challenge students in a fast-paced, mentally and physically demanding course.
Tactical Carbine Applications 2 will have students apply their skills and abilities in challenging scenarios and work with teammates towards a common goal. Students will learn new abilities and skills that will help them more successfully deal with challenging environments while employing a carbine.
Topics Include:
- Safety
- Tac Carbine App 1 refresher
- Transitioning between primary and secondary gun
- Single-handed carbine manipulations
- Utilizing cover
- Use of cover w/ partner(s)
- Mutual supporting engagements and
- Utilizing a carbine in/around vehicles
Required Equipment:
- 400 rounds of carbine ammunition minimum
- 150 rounds of handgun ammunition
- Carbine w/ a sling
- Handgun
- Quality holster
- Three magazines or more for carbine
- Three magazines or more for handgun
- Magazine pouches for carbine and handgun (reloading from pockets is acceptable)
- Ear Protection (electronic preferred)/ Eye Protection
Recommended Equipment:
- Battle belt or chest rig, or purpose-built messenger bag/active shooter kit
- Gloves
- Firearm lubricant
- Dress how your lifestyle would dictate your likely dress for carbine employment.
Required Prerequisite:
- Defensive Carbine (or similar) successful completion within the last 12 months
- Ability to safely draw a pistol from a holster
